2007 DEAF Fly-In

As of Feb. 2010, meetings will be held at the Eastfield flying site on the 2nd Saturday of the month @ 10 a.m.  If weather causes flying to be rescheduled, meeting will be rescheduled as well..

Site Hosted by:

DEAF 2007 is now history!  We had a great fly-in with 55 registered pilots on Saturday and 4-5 more on Sunday.  One quick count of people on hand (spectators and pilots) revealed 106 in attendance!  We had great flying on Saturday, a little windy on Sunday, but lots of flying and great food provided by the Boy Scouts.  Make plans to join us next year for DEAF 22!

DEAF 21 Fly-In – Gift Drawing Winners

As some of you may know we don’t solicit gifts from vendors as past efforts, though successful in garnering swag, did not seem to be important to participants as evidenced by a total dearth, with one exception, of “thank you’s” from winners to contributors. Even so two vendors, one well known to us, New Creations RC (Kirk Massey) , and another, a newbie, Xcite Batteries (Patrick Jenkins), ponied up.

Senor Massey, normally in attendance with his portable hobby shop, buggered up his back in an off-road motorcycle accident, so could not be with us in person.  Even so he Fed-Exed us four gifts (below), which were won by:

            Espirit Kit                                          Ralph Bradley

Nippy 280 brushless motor         John Forbes

            TMM brushless ESC                      Jose Sholz

            Astro brushless ESC                     Wendell Hubbard

Patrick Jenkins attended for the first time and donated 3 LiPo batteries (below) won by:

           4100, 11.1 volt                                   Ernest Butler

            2200, 11.1 volt                                  Ronald Pope

             800,   7.4 volt                                   Doug Cook

We’re grateful for the freely given goodies and urge ya’ll to return the favor by doing business with these fine folk.
