DEAF 26 Rules and Layout

DEAF 26 Flight Line Information

See the notes in the panel next to the picture for additional information.

Transmitter Impound
We will run impound on all transmitters except 2.4 GHz units.
Every entrant will be assigned a Pilots Number at Registration.  All transmitters, including 2.4 GHz units, will be brought to impound to have a sticker with their pilot number attached.  2.4 GHz transmitters will then be returned to the entrant.

This is the layout that Warren plans to use for DEAF 26.  It could change at his discretion and/or due to weather conditions or such

Sport flying area is open to all types of models, but we must follow the Dallas RC Club rules of "the runway is limited to take off and landing".  We translate that as touch and go = landing and takeoff = ok.

Spotter will be actively encouraged but will not necessarily be required --

However, when things get crowded or there are mixed skills and/or types of planes, we expect folks to ask for and use spotters. We will even ask for folks not currently flying to go help spot for those in the air.  In the end safety is the primary concern. Fun is better when it is done safely.
